What is the Western New York #Boy-Preneur Pitch?
An initiative of Boys Lead Foundation for boys in 5th & 6th Grade. This entrepreneurial competition is the only one of its kind in the city. Students will have an opportunity to pitch their ideas and innovation and showcase their entrepreneurial spirit and compete for a chance to earn a $500.00 gift prize to help support their business or to start out as an entrepreneur.
HELP HIM CROSS
- We provide educational scholarships at the pre-school, primary/elementary school through grade 8 male student who are socially and economically disadvantaged.
- We support and provide vocational scholarship for boys through vocational studies.
At its core, mentoring guarantees young people that there is someone who cares about them, assures them they are not alone in dealing with day-to-day challenges. BOYS AND YOUNG MEN OF COLOR “YOU MATTER”. Research confirms that quality mentoring relationships have powerful positive effects on young people in a variety of personal, academic, and professional situations. Ultimately, mentoring connects a young person to personal growth and development, and social and economic opportunity.

10-Hour Boys-Lead Training (1 Week).
This interactive training develops the leadership of boys to create positive change in their communities. In addition to learning about leadership styles and effective group collaboration, participants will understand how to put their leadership skills to use.
Goals of the Training:
+ Boys feel empowered as leaders to make change in their communities.
+ Boys build community with other students.
+ Boys can identify and address the root causes of issues in their communities.
+ Boys set goals and determine how to measure success of their service experiences.
JUVENILE SUPPORT PROGRAM
BOYS. IN. NEED. OF. DIRECTION (BIND)
The support program aims to reduce boys’ crime and violence. Promotes prevention and early intervention programs that are making a difference for boys and young people and their communities, and through research and programming which works to strengthen and support boys who face the school to prison pipeline.
Our interactive and innovative curriculum for juvenile offenders between the ages of 10 to 18. It explores the stories of 13 Nobel Peace Laureates and the strategies they used to overcome problems in their lives and their communities. Through this age-appropriate curriculum, boys will explore their own identities and reexamine the choices they make including their role models and the peer groups to which they belong. Boys also develop leadership and problem-solving skills while engaging in service projects that are aligned with the mission of Boys Lead Foundation.
