Kenneth J. Boone, Sr. is the Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Boys Lead Foundation, which is a not-for-profit entity that specializes in improving outcomes for Boys and Young Men of Color by providing Life and Leadership Skills using a Social Emotional Learning approach. Kenneth is employed by The Buffalo Public School District as a New York State Certified School Counselor, a supporter of the My Brother’s Keeper Foundation and has served as the Chief Executive Officer of Gud Tymes, LLC Business and Consulting for the past six years. Kenneth also runs Girls Lead Alliance, which is a not-for-profit organization that specializes in improving outcomes for Girls and Young Ladies of Color by providing Life and Leadership Skills using a Social Emotional Learning Approach. Both groups are involved in creating community service opportunities for youth from all walks of life and has initiated community programs such as “Feeding Who’s Needing” and “Clothing Who’s Clothe-less.”
Kenneth’s educational portfolio consist of; an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration, a Bachelor’s Degree in Management, a Master’s Degree in Christian Ministry with a concentration in Theology, a Master’s Degree in School Counseling, a New York State Certification Level #3 Teaching Assistant, a New York State Certification in School Counseling, and a New York State Advance Certification in School Building Leadership.
Under Kenneth’s leadership, Boys Lead Foundation implemented its first successful summer program from August 6, 2019 – August 29, 2019 in Buffalo, New York servicing roughly up to thirty  Boys and Young Men of Color from the Buffalo, New York region.
Kenneth lives in Amherst, New York with his wife of 24 years, Deloris, their four children, two grand-children, and Cockatiel named Max. When not working, Kenneth enjoys reading and assisting others in problem-solving. Kenneth can be reached at 100gudtymes@boysleadfoundation.org
